"[The suspected thief] waited outside and was let inside by a resident who was entering the building. This was after he dialed random units trying to be let in," said a resident of the building in the 2100 block of West North Avenue.

The incident happened around 11:50 a.m. on Dec. 2 and the thief was captured on video.

After taking a few packages, the man entered the garage, scoped out a few cars and did not take anything. He then left the building through the garage and not the front door.

In addition to a few small packages, the big score was a 55-inched curved UHD TV, valued at $1,899.

The resident said that his neighbors are in the process of filing a police report and he is not sure if the stolen TV was a holiday gift.
