Englewood Toy And Gift Drive In Need Of Donations

ENGLEWOOD — Three local groups have put the call out for toys, gloves, hats and more to give to Englewood children for Christmas. 

Members of the group "Increase the Peace" in Englewood, along with Daughters of Englewood and the Moran Park Advisory Council, have partnered together this year. The Pastors of Englewood group has already collected 200 new winter coats.

The groups will be collecting the toys and other gifts for Englewood children through Dec. 22. To arrange a pickup call 312-576-2391 or deliver them to Xperience Church, 8842 S. Indiana.

The toys and winter gear will be distributed at the "Christmas in Moran Park" event Dec. 23.

Children are invited to attend from 4 - 7 p.m. and will be able to enjoy free food, games and arts and crafts. The park is at 5727 S. Racine Ave.
