Trio Of Austin Shootings In 30 Minutes Wound 3, Police Say

CHICAGO — Austin saw three shootings that wounded three people within nearly a half hour of each other Tuesday afternoon, according to police.

• At 12:36 p.m., a 17-year-old was shot in the 5300 block of West Adams Street, police said.

He was struck in his leg and was taken to West Suburban Hospital in good condition.

• At 12:40 p.m., a 21-year-old man was shot in the 5500 block of West Quincy Street, police said.

He was standing outside when a silver car pulled up and someone inside began firing, police said. The man was struck in his left shoulder and abdomen and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in serious condition.

• At 1:09 p.m., a 17-year-old was shot in the 500 block of North Laramie Avenue, police said.

He was shot in his hand and was managed to get himself to Rush Medical Center in good condition, police said.

No arrests have been made.
