MORGAN PARK — "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever" wraps this weekend with three shows at the Beverly Arts Center.

The play, featuring an array of professional actors and local performers, will be staged at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday as well as at 3 p.m. Sunday at the 400-seat theater at 2407 W. 111th St. in Morgan Park.

Tickets to the show cost $17 or $15 for members of the community arts center. Tickets for children age 10 and younger cost $10.

The play tells the story of the Herdmans, who go to church for the first time after being told that snacks are offered. Despite protests from some church members, they are given roles in the Sunday school's Christmas play.

"This is the second time the BAC has produced this holiday treat, and for good reason," said Shellee Frazee, director of the production. “The show is laugh-out-loud funny, and then surprises you with tremendous heart.”

Tickets for "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever" are available through the art center's website, by calling 773-445-3838 and at the front desk.
