Car Stolen With 3-Year-Old Sitting Inside Found, Police Say

 A car was stolen Saturday afternoon in Marquette Park with a 3-year-old girl inside, only to be found later in Ashburn with the girl safely sitting in the car seat, according to police.

CHICAGO — A car was stolen Saturday afternoon in Marquette Park with a 3-year-old girl sitting inside, according to police.

At 12:50 p.m., the girl was sitting inside a 2007 Nissan Sentra in the 7100 block of South Sawyer Avenue while a 26-year-old woman was unloading items from the car. Someone entered the vehicle and drove away with the girl still inside, police said.

The car was located shortly after on the side of the road in the 3100 block of West Columbus Avenue, and the girl was found still strapped into the car seat, police said. No one was injured during the incident.

No one was in custody, police said.
