Chicago's 1st Big Snow: Check Out Pics From Around The City (PHOTOS)

By  Kelly Bauer and Justin Breen | December 11, 2016 2:14pm

CHICAGO — Chicago residents are celebrating — or mourning — this weekend's snowfall with thousands of photos on social media.

The city's first big snow of the season didn't stop Chicagoans from having fun.

The snowstorm started Saturday around 4 p.m. and has blanketed Chicago with three to four inches as of Sunday morning, said AccuWeather meteorologist Tom Kines.

Kines said the snow will probably continue on and off in the afternoon and evening hours until midnight, adding a couple of inches to the total snowfall.

And though the snow did cause some problems — like canceling flights or covering up sidewalks — Chicagoans still found a way to enjoy it.
