CHICAGO — A 16-year-old boy was shot in West Englewood on Friday night, police said.
At 9:50 p.m., the boy was standing on the sidewalk in the 6900 block of South Hermitage Avenue when he heard shots and felt pain, police said.
The boy was hit in his back and a family member drove him to Holy Cross Hospital, police said. He was transferred to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was not available but he was listed as "stable," police said.
No one was in custody.
