LINCOLN PARK — If it seems a might chilly for Shakespeare in the park, how about Shakespeare in the Lincoln Park Conservatory instead?

Midsommer Flight, now in its fifth season of doing Shakespeare, encores last year's performance of "Twelfth Night" in the Show Room of the roasty, toasty Lincoln Park Conservatory, 2391 N. Stockton Drive. Performances are at 7:30 p.m. Thursdays-Sundays through Dec. 18.

It's free, but donations are welcome. Reservations are recommended due to limited seating and can be arranged through the Midsommer Flight website.

What else is going on in Lincoln Park and Old Town this weekend?

Old Town Social, 455 W. North Ave., holds its second annual Ho Ho Horrific Ugly Sweater Christmas Party at 9 p.m. Friday. Laguinitas beers will be featured for $5, including its 12th of Never Ale, its first canned craft beer. Laguinitas Brewing VIP tours and swag, along with Old Town Social gift cards, will be awarded to those donning the ugliest apparel in Christmas sweaters.

"The Area" is a documentary five years in the making and still in production about the harsh effect the expanded Norfolk Southern rail yard has had on the Englewood neighborhood. Snappers Film Group plays host to a sneak preview and fundraiser from 5:30-10 p.m. Friday at Lost Arts, 1001 N. Branch St. The $10 suggested donation goes to finishing the feature-length project, which has already won awards as a short film.

The vocal ensemble Chicago a cappella brings this year's holiday program "Tales and Legends" to St. Clement Catholic Church, 642 W. Deming Place, at 3 p.m. Sunday as part of the "Concerts Under the Dome" series. The program includes Christmas carols and Hanukkah songs, emphasizing "songs of peace and unity from around the world." Tickets range from $15-$43.

Also, don't forget the ZooLights festival at Lincoln Park Zoo, 2001 N. Clark St., and the "Arts AIDS America Chicago" exhibit at the Alphawood Gallery, 2401 N. Halsted St.
