Back Of The Yards Armed Robbers Hit Neighborhood Twice, Police Say

CHICAGO — A group of men have robbed people in Back of the Yards twice since mid-November, police said.

During the robberies, the men walk up to their victim or victims with a gun and rob them, according to a Chicago Police community alert.

The robberies occurred:

• The evening of Nov. 15 in the 5000 block of South Justine Street

• Sunday evening in the 5400 block of South Loomis Street

The robbers were described as four black men ages 18-24, standing 5-foot-5 to 6-foot tall and weighing 150-190 pounds, police said. Three of the men wore black hooded sweatshirts and one man wore a white hooded sweatshirt. One man had dreadlocks.
