ROGERS PARK — You only need to spend one day in the brutal tundra that is Chicago to know a warm winter jacket makes a big difference.

From 3-5 p.m. Sunday, Rogers Park Social will be taking coat donations in exchange for handing out bingo cards for a Jingle Bingo Fundraiser event at the bar's 6920 N. Glenwood Ave. location.

Players can either pay $5 per bingo card, or get four free with a new or gently used coat donation.

All of the proceeds will go toward a domestic violence shelter in Rogers Park that supports neighborhood residents.

"We love our neighborhood and, in these times, it's necessary to take care of each other as if though we are all family," owner Erik Archambeault said. "Rogers Park is a neighborhood of families of all backgrounds. We are a quilt of all squares — not just the standard."
