CHICAGO — A shooting in North Lawndale killed a 52-year-old man Tuesday, police said.
At 4:27 p.m., the man was outside in the 1300 block of South Komensky Avenue when someone walked up and began firing, police said.
He was shot multiple times and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition before being pronounced dead, police said.
The man has been identified as Sylvester Rainge, who lived in the 1400 block of South Karlov Avenue, about a block from where he was killed, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.
