NORWOOD PARK — A man was caught on tape robbing two Northwest Side banks between Nov. 22 and last Friday, according to the FBI.

The man, believed to be in his late 20s or early 30s and standing around 6 feet tall, was taped robbing the PNC Bank branch at 6401 N. Harlem Ave. at 3:20 p.m. on Nov. 22, officials said. He wore a black knit hat, tan coat, white shirt and gray hooded sweatshirt.

Then, at 5:47 p.m. on Dec. 2, the man robbed Bank of America at 7225 W. Belmont Ave., officials said. He was wearing a black coat, white hooded sweatshirt and the same black knit cap.

Both incidents were described as "non-takeover" robberies, meaning they were quiet holdups in which only teller knew the bank was being robbed.

Anyone with information on the suspect or robberies is asked to call the FBI's Chicago office at 312-421-6700.
