Carol Brown Memorial Blood Drive Returning to Christ the King in Beverly

BEVERLY — The tenth annual Carol Brown Memorial Blood Drive will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Jan. 8 at Christ the King Parish in Beverly.

Brown died in 2007 after a battle with acute myelogenous leukemia. The event in her honor has collected nearly 1,000 units of blood for local hospitals since its inception.

Donors can meet at the school at 9240 S. Hoyne Ave. Online registration is available through the American Red Cross, using sponsor code Carol2017. Walk-in donations are also welcome, and photo identification is required of all participants.
