CHICAGO — One man was killed and another man seriously wounded in a two-car crash on the Chicago Skyway Saturday night, police said.

At 9:40 p.m., a Jeep Patriot was traveling the wrong way in the westbound lanes on the Skyway near 92nd Street when it struck a Dodge Caravan head on, police said.

The 55-year-old driver of the Dodge was pronounced dead at Advocate Trinity Hospital, police said. The 70-year-old driver of the Jeep was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in critical condition.

Inbound lanes were temporarily closed for investigation, police said.
