CHICAGO — A 22-year-old man was shot dead in Englewood Sunday, police said.
At 1:57 a.m., the man was standing with a group of people in the 7300 block of South Yale Avenue when he was shot in his neck, police said.
A friend took him to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
He has been identified as Deangelo Martin, of the 8100 block of South Cole Avenue, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office. Martin was pronounced dead shortly before 3 a.m.
No one was in custody.
