ROGERS PARK — Police will be cracking down on drunken drivers in the Rogers Park District this weekend.

Between 6 p.m. Saturday and 2 a.m. Sunday, officers will be on the lookout for drivers who are under the influence of alcohol, drugs or some other impairment, as well as checking for other issues like speeding, illegal cellphone use and not wearing seatbelts.

After Thanksgiving, a similar crackdown in the Near North Police District yielded 69 tickets, though none were given for driving under the influence.
