Burnside Shooting Kills Mandle Lee Johnson Of Georgia, Authorities Say

CHICAGO — A shooting in Burnside killed a 25-year-old Georgia man on Wednesday morning, police said.

At 6:20 a.m., the man was driving his car in the 9300 block of South Cottage Grove Avenue when he was shot three times in his abdomen and once in his lower back, police said. The man crashed his car into a bus shelter.

No one else was injured in the crash, police said.

The man was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 7:15 a.m., police said.

He has been identified as Mandle Lee Johnson III of Perry, Ga., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.

No one was in custody.
