Auburn Gresham Shooting Wounds Man, 27, Police Say

CHICAGO — A shooting in Auburn Gresham wounded a 27-year-old man on Wednesday, police said.

At 3:43 p.m., the man was near West 79th Street and South Laflin Street when he was shot in his left ankle, police said. He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in good condition.

The man was uncooperative with officers, a police source said, and the man was a documented gang member.

No one was in custody.
