What's Santa Up To? NORAD Posts Pre-Flight Video

CHICAGO — So what's Santa up to these days? Looks like he's pretty busy according to a video posted by the North American Aerospace Defense Command.

The federal agency that "tracks" the flight of Santa Claus has posted a preview video checking his lists for who's been naughty and who has been nice. NORAD says the site will be active Dec. 1, 2016 which will offer "fun and games" every day leading up to Christmas.

You can follow the NORAD Santa Tracker on Twitter here. Or on Facebook here.

NORAD is a partnership between the U.S. and Canada to monitor and respond to any aerospace warnings. The Santa Tracker got its start on Dec. 24, 1955 when a child incorrectly dialed the number of a Continental Arid Defense Command Operations in Colorado Springs, Colorado wanting to know here Santa was.

Every year on Dec. 24, 1,500 volunteers staff phones and computers to answer calls about Santa's flight path from children around the world. Last year, First Lady Michelle Obama took some calls for the effort, reminding the kid callers that Santa couldn't deliver presents to them until they were asleep.

NORAD's Santa Tracker attracts some 9 million unique visitors each year, the defense command says.

Google also has a Santa Tracker here.
