Dogs, Cats Look For Homes Before The Holidays With PAWS Adopt-A-Thon

CHICAGO — You can help a pet in need find a home this holiday season at an upcoming adoption event.

During the Holiday Adopt-a-Thon, PAWS' Pippen Fasseas Adoption Center will extend its hours in the hopes more people will help puppies, kittens, dogs and cats find a home before the holidays.

The Holiday Adopt-a-Thon is 11 a.m.-11 p.m. Dec. 9-10 at the Pippen Fasseas Adoption Center, 1997 N. Clybourn Ave.

You must be 21 or older and show a government-issued photo ID to adopt a pet from PAWS. Cats and kittens cost $25-$125 to adopt, and puppies and dogs cost $300-$400. You can learn more about adopting from PAWS online.

Here's a look at some of the pets you'll be able to adopt:

Eugene, a 1-year-old dog. [PAWS Chicago]
