CHICAGO — A 41-year-old man was beaten to death with a bottle in Englewood on Monday, police said.

The man got into a fight with another person in the 1500 block of West 63rd Street, and the other person hit the man's head with a bottle, said Officer Michelle Tannehill, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The man was taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition and was later pronounced dead, Tannehill said.

The man died from multiple injuries to his head and assault with a bottle in a homicide, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
