CHICAGO — Gregorio Aguilar, 51, was shot dead in Belmont Cragin on Tuesday, officials said.
At 1:32 a.m., officers responded to a call of a man down in the 2500 block of North Lavergne Avenue, police said.
The man was shot in his lower abdomen and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
Aguilar, of the 5000 block of West Deming Place, was pronounced dead at 1:50 a.m., according to the cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
No one was in custody.
