CHICAGO — A 38-year-old woman was injured by flying glass after a shooting in River West Sunday night, according to police.

At 7:25 p.m. Sunday, the woman was in a car with a 33-year-old man in the 900 block of West Chicago Avenue when a gray car pulled alongside and a man in a passenger seat began firing at them, police said.

Bullets hit the car and shattered glass, injuring the woman, police said. She and the man then drove to the 100 block of West Maple Avenue and called police.

The woman was cut on her shoulder and was treated on the scene, police said.
