CHICAGO — An 18-year-old man was fatally shot in Auburn Gresham Sunday afternoon, officials said.

About 2 p.m., the man, identified as Delvon Weston, was sitting in a parked car in the 8800 block of South Marshfield Avenue when someone in a passing dark-colored SUV opened fire, police said. The SUV then drove northbound on Marshfield.

The man was struck multiple times in his chest and managed to get himself to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead, police said.

Weston, of the 60 block of East 101st Place, was pronounced dead at 2:22 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office. An autopsy showed he died from multiple gunshot wounds in a homicide.

No arrests have been made.
