CHICAGO — A 26-year-old man was seriously wounded in a shooting in Auburn Gresham on Tuesday, police said.

At 6:04 p.m., the man was getting out of a car in the 8000 block of South Carpenter Street when a dark-colored van pulled up and someone inside fired shots, said Officer Michelle Tannehill, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The man was hit in his stomach and forearm, Tannehill said, and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in serious condition.
