Michael Gipson, 40, Killed In Chatham Shooting

CHICAGO — Michael Gipson, 40, was shot to death in Chatham on Sunday, officials said.

At 3:20 a.m., the man was in the 7800 block of South Michigan Avenue when an acquaintance he was arguing with took out a gun and shot him, police said.

He was hit in his stomach and was taken in serious condition to Stroger Hospital, police said.

Gipson, of the same block where he was killed, was pronounced dead at 4:11 a.m.

No one was in custody.
