CHICAGO — A 27-year-old man was shot to death in Gage Park early Saturday, police said.
The man was found by officers at 12:20 a.m. in the backyard of a house in the 3500 block of West 57th Street, said Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police spokesman.
He had been shot in his head and body and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was later pronounced, Estrada said.
The man has been identified as Guadalupe Antonio Saucedo-Garcia, of the 5200 block of South Kilpatrick Avenue, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office. He was pronounced dead at 12:56 a.m. on Saturday.
No one is in custody and police continue to investigate, he said.
