Vegan Food, Art Market Coming To Plant Chicago Saturday

BACK OF THE YARDS — A vegan market is returning to the neighborhood.

The Café-Cultura-Arte Market returns to Plant Chicago, 1400 W. 46th St., from noon-6 p.m. Saturday.

The market will include workshops, lectures and an array of vegan food and craft vendors. Here's some of what you can expect:

• A tamale-making demo from Bravo Vegan Tamales

• Tours of Plant Chicago

• A lecture by artist Gary White.

• A workshop by Oaxacan Alebrije artist Carlos Orozco

• A mosaic workshop by Norma Rios of MosaicoArte

Art vendors include Limba Gal, Jaqui Arte, Rowdy Corazón, Cera & Lore, Thunder Moon Studios, Beautifully Dead by Daliliaa Hecho Con Cariño by Angmir, Bodega 18, Mano y Metal, Lotus Farms and Amanda Mudrovich.

There will be a variety of 100-percent vegan food vendors including Chicago Style Vegan, The Chunky Scones, Ste. Martaen, The Tiny Vegans, Coqui Eats, Bravo Tamales and Cecilia’s Ceviche.

Vendor menus feature deep-dish pizza, churros, pastel de tres leches, rib tips, curry chickpeas, mac and cheese and vegan sausages.

Sonorama DJ Collective and DJ Sandra of The Ponderers will provide entertainment.
