CHICAGO — A shooting in Auburn Gresham killed Eddie King, 27, on Thursday, officials said.
At 11:45 a.m., the man was walking in the 8300 block of South Hamilton Avenue when someone in a black car fired shots at him and drove away, said Officer Laura Amezaga, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.
The man was hit in his chest, arm and thigh and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in critical condition, Amezaga said. He was later pronounced dead.
King, of the 8300 block of South Elizabeth, died of multiple gunshot wounds in a homicide, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
No one was in custody.
