Thanksgiving Travel: Midway, O'Hare Among Most-Delayed Airports Report Says

CHICAGO — Be ready for delays if you have to fly out of Chicago for Thanksgiving next week.

Midway and O'Hare both rank near the top of U.S. airports with the most delays around Thanksgiving, according to an analysis of government data by a travel site, WanderBat.

About 18.31 percent of flights are delayed at O'Hare around Thanksgiving, according to the analysis, which means O'Hare has the sixth-most delays of any U.S. airport. The analysis found Thanksgiving flights are delayed an average of 10.6 minutes.

But Midway is even worse, coming in at No. 2 on the list. Nearly 23 percent of Thanksgiving flights get delayed around Thanksgiving, according to the analysis, with an average delay of 17 minutes.

The only airport that was worse than Midway was Akron-Canton Regional in Ohio, according to the analysis.

Which airports are the least delayed? The top five are all in Hawaii.
