2 Teens Charged In Mag Mile Robberies At Stores: Police

MAGNIFICENT MILE — Police said Thursday that two teenagers have been arrested in connection to recent armed robberies on the Magnificent Mile and in Old Town. 

Mishael Cisneros, 18, of McKinley Park was charged with felony retail theft and two felony counts of aggravated battery to a merchant. Dierra Bluitt, 18, of Grand Boulevard was charged with felony robbery, felony aggravated battery to a merchant, and misdemeanor retail theft.

Police made the arrests after warning Downtown retailers Wednesday about thieves ripping off Mag Mile and State Street stores, and even pulling a gun on employees in one instance.

The robberies occurred in the:

• 700 block of North Michigan Avenue on Nov. 11 during the late afternoon.

• 1200 block of North Larrabee Street on Nov. 9 during the early afternoon.

• 800 block of North Michigan Avenie on Nov. 5 during the late afternoon.

• 900 block of North State Street on Nov 1. during the afternoon. 

When confronted, Cisneros and Bluitt used physical force against store employees, police said. In one incident, the robbers pulled out a gun. 

Police said Bluitt was arrested in connection to the Nov. 5 robbery on Michigan Avenue, while Cisneros is accused of the Nov. 11 robbery. Police also seek a 5-foot-6, 45 to 50 year old black woman with gray hair and a maroon leather jacket in connection to the Nov. 9 robbery on Larrabee Street. 

Police declined to disclose which stores were robbed or the value of the items stolen.
