BELMONT CRAGIN — The Chicago Property Tax Rebate Program Satellite Office is coming to the 31st Ward.

The event is scheduled to take place on Monday, Nov. 21 at the Portage-Cragin Library, 5108 W. Belmont Ave., from noon-7 p.m.

Ald. Milly Santiago (31st) made the announcement on her ward's Facebook page.

"The deadline to apply for a property tax rebate is fast approaching. That is why in an effort to make the application process more accessible to ward residents, I've asked the city to conduct a satellite application site in the 31st Ward."

To eligible for the program, interested parties have to be a Chicago homeowner, be current on their property taxes, have an annual household income of $75,000 or less, and have received an increase on the city portion of the last property tax bill.

Santiago also stated that the satellite office will be a joint site with Ald. Ariel Reboyras (30th).

Applications for the Chicago Property Tax Rebate Program will be accepted through Nov. 30, city officials said.
