By Kelly Bauer | November 15, 2016 3:17pm

CHICAGO — A police chase ended in a car crash that injured four people Tuesday, officials said.

Around noon, officers in the 6600 block of South Wolcott Avenue started chasing a man who was wanted for homicide, said Officer Kevin Quaid, a Chicago Police spokesman. The car chase ended in a crash at 87th Street and South Ashland Avenue.

The man who was wanted for homicide was taken into custody and was at Advocate Christ Medical Center, where his condition was not available but he was listed as "stable," Quaid said.

A 4-year-old boy and his mother were injured in the crash and were taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in good condition, Quaid said. A woman who was hurt was treated and released from Little Company of Mary Hospital.

Two other people who were involved in the crash refused treatment, Quaid said.
