6 Things To Do In Uptown And Andersonville This Weekend

UPTOWN AND ANDERSONVILLE — We've all had a long week, so here's some reasons to explore the neighborhood before winter weather hits the city.

Here is our list of six things to do this weekend:

Wine and Vinyl Party At Appellation: Guest bring their own vinyl records and a DJ mixes their music in during the party. Appellation will offer a free wine glass to each guest. Tickets to the event are $5. From 5-8 p.m. Sunday. Appellation Wine Bar and Restaurant, 5212 N. Clark St.

Go Behind The Scenes of Wilson Station: Everybody's Coffee is hosting an opening reception for its "Wilson Station: Behind the Scenes" exhibit. The photos were collected by Kevin Utz, a quality assurance manager for CH2M, and Kirsten Lefeldt, a quality assurance manager for Walsh Construction, who would meet at the coffee shop to discuss the multimillion dollar project and compare photos. The exhibit will run through Jan. 2. More information is available here. Everybody's Coffee, 935 W. Wilson Ave. 6-8 p.m. on Friday.

Try Out A New Restaurant: Uptown's new rotary sushi bar Wabi Sabi is officially open in the Windsor Court strip mall. Click here for more details. Wabi Sabi, 4521 N. Sheridan Road. 11 a.m. - 10 p.m. Fridays through Sunday.

Live Music At The Riviera: The Riviera will be hosting concerts all weekend long beginning at 8 p.m. Friday with Rufus Du Sol. Show ends at 11 p.m. Tickets are between $28 and $32 and are available here. On Saturday, Rebelution and Herie will perform at the venue at 9 p.m. Tickets for the show are $25 and available here. Sunday, Bugz Entertainment presents Zemfira "Little Man" at the Riviera. The show begins at 9 p.m. Tickets to the show are $77-$135 and are available here. Riviera Theatre, 4746 N. Racine Ave.

Bronco Performs At The Aragon Ballroom: The norteño and pop music artists that form Bronco will bring their talents to the Aragon. The group was formed in 1980 by Jose Guadalupe Esparza, Ramiro Delgado, Javier Villareal and Jose Louise "Choche" Villareal, but since then has had many lineup changes. Tickets to the show are about $72 and available here. Aragon Ballroom, 1106 W. Lawrence. 7 p.m. Saturday.

Mad Hatters at The Bezazian: The Bezazian Library has a special story time event this Saturday featuring the Mad Hatters. It's a fun-filled program of books, poems and songs from the Mad Hatters of Chicago. The Bezazian Library, 1226 W. Ainslie St. 11 a.m. Saturday.
