When Do Chicago Public School Students Return From Christmas Break?

CHICAGO — Looking ahead to the winter holidays? Your kids probably are.

For Chicago Public Schools students, the last day of school is Friday, Dec. 23, 2016, just a few days ahead of Christmas (which is on a Sunday this year.)

The kids will return from winter vacation on Monday, Jan. 9, 2017.

Other winter holidays are: Monday, Jan. 16, 2017, for Martin Luther King Day; Monday Feb. 20, 2017, for President's Day; and Monday, May 29, 2017, for Memorial Day.

Spring break begins April 10, 2017, and runs through April 14, 2017, with students returning Monday, April 17.
