CHICAGO — A man trying to rob a store in Auburn Gresham was shot by a security guard Wednesday night, police said.
At 7:56 p.m., a store in the 8100 block of South Racine Avenue was closing when the 18-year-old man walked up, took out a gun and said he was robbing the store, police said.
A security guard fired shots at the man, hitting him, police said. He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in critical condition.
