COOK COUNTY CRIMINAL COURTHOUSE — A Little Village man has been charged with firing a gun near Truman College in Uptown.

Samuel Ogunleye, 21, was arrested about 8 p.m. Sunday after two people identified him as the man who had fired several shots in the 1200 block of West Sunnyside Avenue minutes earlier, court records show. No one was hit.

Ogunleye appeared Tuesday in bond court, where Cook County Judge Donald Panarese Jr. ordered Ogunleye held in lieu of $750,000 bail.

Ogunleye, of the 1200 block of South California Boulevard, is charged with unlawful use of a weapon by a felon, reckless discharge of a gun and aggravated discharge of a gun.

He has prior convictions for aggravated battery, trespassing, possession of marijuana and manufacturing/delivering marijuana, court records show.
