Clarence Coakley, 16, Killed In Austin Shooting

AUSTIN — An Austin shooting left a 16-year-old boy dead on Monday, police said. 

At 3:37 p.m., the teen was in the 4600 block of West Lake Street when a man walked up and shot him several times, police said.

The boy was identified as Clarence Coakley, of the 1300 block of North Parkside, in Cook County Medical Examiner's Office records. Coakley was pronounced dead at 3:50 p.m. and an autopsy showed he died of multiple gunshot wounds in a homicide.

No one was in custody for the shooting, police said.
