CHICAGO — After this brutal election campaign, no one would blame if you are itching for a drink Tuesday night.

Several neighborhood bars and restaurants are hosting watch parties where you can take in the results while enjoying refreshments.

Here's a sampling:

Sidetrack, the Video Bar Chicago: The Chicago LGBTQ for Hillary will host an Election Night party at Sidetrack, 3349 N. Halsted St. The bar will have the election on the big screen until 2 a.m. The event is free and open to everyone older than 21. Doors open at 3 p.m.

O'Shaughnessy's Public House, 4457 N. Ravenswood Ave.: Drinking Liberally Chicago will host an Election Night viewing party at O'Shaughnessy's beginning at 7 p.m.

Hopewell Brewery, 2706 N. Milwaukee Ave.: The Logan Square brewery will be hosting Election Night festivities because "no one should be alone on Election Night." There will be live coverage in the taproom and pints are $5 all night.

Club Lago, 331 W. Superior St.: Although the price has changed, the Lago will serve the "Early and Often," a tradition at the restaurant and bar since Ike's landslide in 1952. The $5 Malibu punch drink is served in a coffee cup, just like the precinct captains used to hand out in the good old days. Club Lago closes at 10 p.m.

Public House: CNN is set to broadcast from Public House, 400 N. State St., where election results will stream live, while anxious supporters of both candidates can order the gastropub's cake shake themed out in red and blue colors.

Replay Andersonville, 5358 N. Clark St., and Elixir Lounge Andersonville: The arcade bar and the intimate lounge next door will be hosting a Hillary Victory Party featuring a specialty cocktail named after each candidate ($8). The Hillary includes: Three Olives vodka, Creme de Violette, simple syrup, lemon juice and seltzer. The Trump includes: Three Olives vodka, raspberry syrup, lime juice and ginger beer. The Elixir will have two TVs set up for result viewing.

Underground Wonder Bar, 710 N. Clark St.: Lonie Walker, owner of the Underground Wonder Bar, and Jill Tellez, of Europa Academe, will host Unrigged: Election Night Watch Party. The party begins at 6 p.m. and ends when the election is called.

The Bar on Buena, 910 W. Buena Ave.: The BoB will partner with Anchor Brewing out of California for an Election Night party focusing on its own "election" asking customers to "vote" for Anchor Steam Ale or its newest offering, Anchor Dry-Hopped Steam Ale. "Polls" open at 6 p.m. with a side-by-side pairing. Election coverage will be played on the projector and sound will be available upon request. If not, an upbeat playlist will be played. A $2 taco feature will also be available. No cover.

The Dawson, 730 W. Grand Ave., will be showing the election results on both of its televisions facing the downstairs bar, according to a worker.

Club Lucky, 1824 W. The dining room does not have televisions but there is plenty of seating at the bar and booths across from Club Lucky's two bar area televisions.

Lottie's Pub, 1925 W. Cortland St. has planned three special cocktails: "The Donald," made with bourbon, "The Hillary" vodka martini and "The Undecided" with Malort. "Like this election, it will leave a bad taste in your mouth," the bar says of "The Undecided."

Remedy, 1910 N. Milwaukee Ave. will be offering "half-price everything at the bar" from 4-7 p.m., and select beers for $2 to $3 as the results pour in, according to its Facebook page and a RedEye roundup.
