Uptown Shooting Wounds 5 People, Police Say

CHICAGO — Five people were wounded in a shooting in Uptown early Saturday, police said.

At 1:34  a.m., the people were in the 4800 block of North Winthrop Avenue when they were shot, police said.

A 36-year-old man was hit in his buttocks, a 20-year-old man was hit in his leg, a 17-year-old was hit in his back, a 20-year-old woman was hit in her legs and a 36-year-old man was hit in his arm, police said. They were all taken to Illinois Masonic Hospital in good condition.

No one was in custody.
