CHICAGO — One firefighter and five other people were injured in a fire in Logan Square, officials said.
At 7:55 a.m., emergency officials responded to the fire at a two-story building in the 2600 block of West Homer Street, according to the Chicago Fire Department's Twitter account.
The fire was put out, but five people were injured: Two people were taken to Stroger Hospital for burns, two people were taken to St. Mary Hospital for smoke inhalation, and one person was taken to Norwegian American Hospital, officials said on Twitter.
A firefighter also was taken to St. Mary Hospital for exhaustion, officials tweeted.
