Boy, 14, Critically Wounded In Austin Shooting Friday, Police Say

CHICAGO — A 14-year-old boy was critically wounded and a 19-year-old man was wounded in an Austin shooting Friday morning, according to police.

The two were standing outside at 11:29 a.m. in the 1600 block of North Luna Avenue when a man walked up and began firing, police said.

The boy was struck in his groin and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition, police said.

The 19-year-old was struck in his buttocks and left ankle and was also brought to Mount Sinai Hospital in good condition, police said.

No arrests were made.
