CHICAGO — A shooting in Englewood killed a 32-year-old man Tuesday night, police said.
At 9:16 p.m., officers responding to a call of shots fired found the man lying in the street in the 6700 block of South Wolcott Avenue, police said. The man had been shot multiple times and was unresponsive.
The man was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center and was pronounced dead at 10:05 p.m., police said.
He has been identified as Douglas Bowman, of the 800 block of East 46th Street, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.
The man was gang-affiliated, police sources said.
No one was in custody.
