WEST RIDGE — A man with a handgun put on a blond wig and held up a West Ridge bank on Halloween, according to the FBI.
At 3:16 p.m., the man entered Byline Bank, 2935 W. Peterson Ave., wearing the wig, a black hat, patterned scarf, sunglasses and a dark-colored coat and displayed a handgun at a teller's window.
Officials suspect the man also earlier robbed a TCF bank at 5600 N. Kimball Ave. at 11: 57 a.m. on April 21.
That robbery was committed by a black male with a slender build between 5-foot-11 and 6-feet, was seen wearing a black hat, sunglasses with white rims, black gloves, a red trench coat with a purple scarf and a black shirt and pants, officials said.
Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI at 312-421-6700.
