Second Man Dies Day After West Englewood Shooting, Authorities Say

CHICAGO — A shooting in West Englewood killed two men Tuesday morning, officials said.

At 10:45 a.m., the men were in the 1800 block of West 58th Street when they were shot, police said, citing preliminary information.

Raymond Griffin, 30, was hit in his chest and taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 6:30 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

Tidarrius Smith, 31, was struck in his back and was also taken to Stroger Hospital, where he died from his injuries Wednesday, according to the medical examiner.

Both men lived in the same block where they were killed, the medical examiner said.
