Auburn Gresham Shooting Wounds 2 Men, Police Say

CHICAGO — A shooting in Auburn Gresham wounded two men on Tuesday, police said.

At 9:29 a.m., the men were outside in the 8600 block of South Morgan Street when two men in a red car pulled up and one of them fired shots at the men, police said.

One of the men, 35, was hit in his back and right foot and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in serious condition, police said. Another man, 36, was hit in his left thigh and left ankle and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in fair condition.

The men were documented gang members, police sources said.

The shooter and the other man drove away, police said. No one was in custody.
