CHICAGO — Mark Higgins Jr., 28, was fatally shot in Englewood early Monday, officials said.
At 4:02 a.m., officers found the man on the kitchen floor of a second-floor Englewood apartment in the 1100 block of West Garfield Boulevard, police said. He had been shot in his chest and head, police said.
Higgins, of the same block as where he was shot, was pronounced dead at 4:09 a.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
No arrests have been made, police said.
