CHICAGO — A 31-year-old woman was killed in a South Deering shooting early Sunday, according to police.
The woman was in the 10700 block of South Hoxie Avenue when she told people she had been shot, police said.
She was taken to Trinity Hospital where she was pronounced dead, police said.
The woman has been identified as Clara Gonzalez, 31, of south suburban Lansing, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office. Police originally said the woman was 24.
No arrests have been made, police said.
