Masked Gunman Enters Auburn Gresham Restaurant, Shoots 2 Women, Police Say

CHICAGO — Two women were shot after a masked gunman entered a restaurant and began firing Saturday in Auburn Gresham, according to police.

The women were in a carry-out restaurant at 8:38 p.m. in the 700 block of West 79th Street when a man wearing a mask walked in and began firing, police said.

A 54-year-old woman was shot in the back and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where her condition was not released but police considered her stable.

A 36-year-old woman was shot in her left foot and was taken to Saint Bernard Hospital, where her condition was not released but police considered her stable.

No arrests have been made, police said.
