Robert McClinton, 28, Killed In Auburn Gresham Shooting

CHICAGO — Robert McClinton, 28, was killed in an Auburn Gresham shooting Saturday night, officials said.

The man was in a parked car in the 8300 block of South Hermitage Avenue at 7:32 p.m. when someone came from a nearby alley and fired shots before running off, said Officer Hector Alfaro, a Chicago Police spokesman.

The man was shot in his head and was pronounced dead at the scene, Alfaro said.

McClinton, of the 8100 block of South Loomis, was pronounced dead at 7:45 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

No arrests have been made.

The victim was a documented gang member, a police source said.
